I am a family doctor and a Roman Catholic.
These were the 2 main reasons whyI hesitated to see a palmist.
Karen and I have been married for almost 7 years without an
offspring.
We have the problem of infertility. For the last 5 years we
had consulted medical doctors to try to conceive a child.
The experiences we had were painful ones
(this is actually an understatement). We had one miscarriage
from a failed infertility treatment. Then, after about 8 trials
of Intrauterine Insemination, I had to make a difficult decision
on whether we should attempt IVF. It was a very difficult
decision for me as I felt I was betraying the Catholic faith
and my stand as a Catholic doctor. IVF definitely appears
to be against the teachings of the Church. Nevertheless, out
of desperation, I decided to try the IVF.
The first attempt failed.
I wanted to have a consulation with Chelvam
earlier, but I deliberately put this off for 2 years because
of my beliefs. After being dissapointed even with the IVF,
I finally decided to consult Chelvam. I was now prepared to
try anything that might have a remote chance of working.
When we consulted Chelvam on 01 Sept 2002,
he examined both our palms and our individual astrological
charts. He then surprised us by saying we will be parents by
early 2004.
He later counterchecked our choice of dates
for the best time to conceive in January 2003 and advised
impregnation on either 02nd or 3rd March 2003. The earliest
date we could get for embyro retrieval and fertilisation was
05 Mar 2003. But this was in accordance with Chelvam's prediction
because had we had attempted to conceive naturally (which
is what Chelvam promotes), it would take anything from a few
hours to 72 hours from sextual intercourse to fertilisation.
This attempt was thus a combination of palmistry, astrology
and scientific dating. Miraculously, this 2nd IVF attempt
turned out to be successful, even given the fact that the
statistical sucess rate for IVF is only about 35%.
My wife is now 5 months pregnant and our baby
will be born in November 2003.It is a miracle and I am still
amazed by Chelvam's prediction.
We will consult Chelvam again to choose a
date for our next child. Chelvam did advise that if we are
sucessful in this attempt to give thanks to Mother Mary, and
we will. We have also decided to contribute to charity.
